As part of Public Health Ideas, a platform for the dean of WashU School of Public Health to share and discuss work in public health, Dean Sandro Galea, MD, DrPH, talks with Cal Halvorsen, PhD, MSW, a gerontological social work scholar and associate professor at WashU’s Brown School. Halvorsen is also a secondary faculty member at WashU Public Health. He and the dean discussed older populations, productive aging, and longer lives.
