Morven McLean named FSLC Distinguished Fellow

Food Security Leadership Council brings together leaders from industry, science, agriculture, global development, and government to strengthen food security in U.S. and abroad

Morven McLean, MSc, PhD, WashU School of Public Health’s executive director of networks & innovation and a professor of practice, has been named a Distinguished Fellow of the Food Security Leadership Council (FSLC), a nonpartisan policy organization dedicated to reimagining U.S. leadership in global food security. An agricultural scientist with more than 25 years of global experience, McLean is also the director of the Food and Agriculture Research Mission (FARM) at WashU Public Health.

FSLC’s Distinguished Fellows provide expertise and guidance on food security, agriculture, development, trade, humanitarian response and related policy areas; help shape and advance a blueprint for strategic U.S. leadership in global food security; participate in convenings and other public-facing activities; mentor and collaborate with associate fellows and emerging leaders in the field; and serve as ambassadors and network builders for the council.

The organization brings together leaders from industry, science, agriculture, global development, and government who believe the U.S., in partnership with other countries, can strengthen food security at home and abroad through visionary leadership.
