Enhancing intergenerational HeAlth in Nigeria: peripartum as Critical life stagE for CardioVascular Health (ENHANCE-CVH) study: findings from pre-implementation using the updated consolidated framework for implementation research (CFIR 2.0).

Pregnancy is a crucial period to improve cardiovascular health (CVH) for mothers and their families. The current study emphasizes framework-guided factors that influence the adaptation of an evidence-based intervention (Parents as Teachers and Healthy Eating Active Living Taught at Home [PAT + HEALTH]) to support healthy gestational weight gain and postpartum weight management among pregnant women with obesity and their infants in Nigeria.

Integrating psychiatric rehabilitation into inpatient psychiatric hospitalization to advance personal recovery.

Psychiatric rehabilitation services (PRS) were developed to facilitate recovery and community integration by addressing psychosocial needs such as housing, employment, illness management, and social inclusion for individuals with serious mental illness. Beyond the Check Box: Development of the Nutrition Health Related Social Need Assessment and Referral Tool (N-HART).

Food insecurity screeners focus on identifying a financial barrier to accessing food. Other social and medical factors influence an individual's nutritional status and the need for food provision support. Implementing and evaluating visual key information pages compared to text-based key information: protocol for a stepped-wedge cluster randomized trial.

Informed consent is a key aspect of conducting research studies, yet many participants do not understand critical study details after reviewing long, complex consent documents. The 2018 Common Rule aimed to address this challenge by requiring a key information section, a "concise and focused" presentation of important and relevant study information. In our ongoing work, we developed a template and toolkit to improve the presentation of key information by incorporating health literacy best practices, including color and visual icons. The goal of this study is to assess the impact of the visual key information (KI) pages at both the research coordinator and participant level.

Association Between Structural and Social Determinants of Health and Cognitive Functioning Among African Americans: the ARCHES Cohort.

Structural and social determinants of health (S/SDOH) are linked to dementia, yet despite Black Americans having a twofold dementia risk compared to Whites, research is limited. This study examined a new S/SDOH composite index (CI) based on the multidimensional poverty-adjusted headcount ratio and explored its association with potential cognitive impairment (PCI) or poor cognitive performance (PCP) among Black Americans.

So what? Elevating the impact of implementation science

Implementation science provides actionable methods to enhance population health, reduce health inequities, and guide effective public health and clinical practices and policies. We describe four essential domains of implementation impact: speed of research translation, sustainability, de-implementation, and equity. For implementation science to become more relevant to societal needs, enhancing and evaluating its impacts matter.
