Vable helped organize workshop on food insecurity and cognition

National Institute on Aging-sponsored workshop convened experts on aging, cognition, nutrition, social determinants of health

Anusha Vable, MPH, ScD, an associate professor at the Andrew M. and Jane M. Bursky School of Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis, was on the steering committee for a National Institute on Aging-sponsored workshop on August 3 titled, “Food Insecurity and Cognitive Health: State of the Science and Research Gaps”, where she also gave a talk. The workshop aimed to assess the current state of the science on food insecurity and cognitive health, including Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, identify critical knowledge gaps, and highlight methodological challenges and opportunities. Vable’s talk focused on the data around sex differences in the relationship between food insecurity and cognition.
