Global Health Futures

Our goal

We aim to create a research and learning environment that addresses critical global public health needs to achieve healthier and more equitable global communities

Build a community of Global Public Health Scholars

We host events that bring together global health researchers to share scientific work, generate new ideas, and foster collaborations. We support education and research training within this community and encourage student and trainee involvement in IRN-supported projects.

Develop new areas of research

We catalyze interdisciplinary research teams to address emerging global health challenges and develop solutions to promote population health and reduce health disparities.

Policy translation

We develop programs that support research teams’ engagement with policymakers so that research outcomes are actionable and impactful.

Track and Communicate Impact

We work with researchers to track and communicate the impact of WashU global public health research so that new knowledge and solutions are disseminated widely and effectively.

Leadership

Joshua Bogus, MPH

Senior network manager

Joshua Bogus has devoted his public health career to supporting global health programs and research. Some of these studies informed changes to global guidelines and national policies to prevent disease exposure and improve population health at scale. These experiences inspire his work to build a network of public health researchers and partners to produce knowledge and tackle consequential health problems facing the globe.
