Medical oncologist and implementation scientist Thomas Odeny, MD, MPH, PhD, is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Oncology at WashU Medicine. He leads the Global Oncology Initiative, a U.S.-Africa cancer research platform focused on building cancer clinical trial infrastructure and training cancer researchers in resource-limited settings. His NIH-funded research embeds implementation science into clinical trials to accelerate the uptake of evidence-based cancer care for underserved populations globally and domestically.
