Matthew Hibberd

Matthew Hibberd, PhD, is a research assistant professor of pathology and immunology at WashU Medicine. Hibberd studies how intestinal bacteria and diet influence different forms of malnutrition. He uses anaerobic microbiology, DNA/RNA sequencing techniques, animal undernutrition models, and high-dimensional bioinformatics and statistical analyses to translate microbiota-directed nutritional therapeutic strategies into real-world applications.
