Burel Goodin, MA, PhD, is a professor of anesthesiology at WashU Medicine. A clinical health psychologist with a specialization in pain-related behavioral medicine, Goodin studies how social factors influence pain physiology, perception, and treatment responses, with a goal of finding ways to eliminate disparities in pain and its treatment.
