Brian Froelke, MD, is an associate professor of emergency medicine at WashU Medicine. Along with providing patient care, he serves as the EMS Medical Director for Christian Hospital EMS and for Missouri’s Disaster Medical Response System, where he led the response to disasters including the 2011 Joplin tornado. He also works to improve prehospital care by supporting patient safety organizations and leading a national effort to develop evidence-based protocols for people with special medical needs.
