Talking Public Health at WashU Bursky Public Health

Seth Berkowitz, MD, MPH, Associate Professor of Medicine and Section Chief for Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in the Division of General Medicine & Clinical Epidemiology, will present at this Talking Public Health session on “Food, Nutrition, and Population Health.”

Dr. Berkowitz is a primary care doctor and public health researcher studying the connections between food, nutrition, public policy, and population health. He is the Deputy Scientific Director for the American Heart Association’s Health Care by Food (HCXF) initiative. He is also the author of the recent book “Equal Care: Health Equity, Social Democracy, and the Egalitarian State,” which examines how public policy can improve population health.

Talking Public Health is a seminar series by WashU Bursky Public Health featuring leading thinkers in public health from WashU and elsewhere. All presentations are available to attend in-person and online and are archived on our YouTube channel.
