Talking Public Health with Syeed Iskander

4240 Duncan (Havana Room)

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. CT

Syeed Iskander, PhD, PE, BCEE, is an assistant professor of civil, construction and environmental engineering at North Dakota State University where he leads research at the intersection of environmental systems, exposure science, and human health. His work examines how engineered and natural systems function as exposure pathways for emerging contaminants, including micro- and nanoplastics and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

His talk is titled, “Environmental Systems in Exposure Pathways: Linking Lifestyle, Environmental, and Human Health.” The talk will be available in-person and on Zoom.

The weekly Talking Public Health seminar series features presentations by leading thinkers in public health at WashU and elsewhere. Speakers present their work and engage with the audience to advance the ideas that shape public health. Each talk is recorded and posted to the School of Public Health’s YouTube channel.
