The workshop is aimed at developing solutions for transforming communication about lab and imaging results sent through the patient portal. This gathering will bring together an interdisciplinary group, including experts in health communication, health literacy, and informatics; clinical team members; and patient and community experts from across WashU, BJC, and the St. Louis region. Attendees will work together to develop templates and implementation processes for improving how clinical results are shared in patient portals.

This project is co-led by SPH Professor Mary Politi, PhD, and WashU Medicine’s Bryan Sisk, MD, MSCI, and Milan Chheda, MD; WashU Medicine’s Thomas Maddox, MD, MSc, also is working closely on developing and delivering the content. The event is open to anyone with an interest in this topic. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees. See here for more information.
