Join WashU Bursky School of Public Health for an opening reception celebrating “Remember Me,” a powerful art installation honoring the lives of victims of unsolved homicides in St. Louis.
Created by local artist cbabi bayoc, “Remember Me” features six vivid portraits that capture individuals as their families remember them – full of life, love, and possibility. The installation is part of a community-centered art and reporting project inspired by an investigation by The Marshall Project, St. Louis Public Radio, and APM Reports into more than 1,000 unsolved homicides in St. Louis over the past decade.
Through art and storytelling, “Remember Me” invites us to reflect on the lives behind the statistics, the lasting impact of violence on families and communities, and the importance of remembrance.
We invite the WashU and broader St. Louis communities to join us as we welcome this meaningful installation to Hillman Hall.
