Health Data Bootcamp 2026

The third annual Health Data Bootcamp, titled “Innovations for Chronic Disease Research and Policy,” is a dynamic event hosted by the Center for Advancing Health Services, Policy & Economics Research (CAHSPER) designed to help participants optimize health system data for innovative chronic disease research and policy impact.

The event will open with a keynote address from Elbert Huang, MD, MPH, a professor of medicine and public health sciences at the University of Chicago. Huang is a nationally recognized expert who studies clinical and health care policy issues at the intersection of diabetes, aging, and health economics.

Following the keynote, participants will briefly learn how to access extensive health data resources through Administrative Data Core Services (ADCS), a core group of the Institute for Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS). Then, there will be guided sessions where participants will generate research ideas in real time using administrative data sources. The event will also feature a menu of skills workshops and a networking lunch, offering valuable opportunities to build new connections and enhance expertise in research and policy impact.
