In-PersonWashU’s Children and Youth Collaborative Network is hosting a conference, Creative Solutions for Child Health and Well-Being, to bring together WashU researchers, clinicians, students, and trainees to share innovative, cross-disciplinary approaches to improving child health. Registration is required.

The program features a keynote talk by Katie McLaughlin, PhD, of the Ballmer Institute for Children’s Behavioral Health at the University of Oregon. The talk will be followed by Ignite-style talks from four WashU panelists — fast-paced, 5-minute presentations highlighting cutting-edge ideas — who will then participate in an interactive discussion. The event will close with a poster session and networking lunch.

- Welcome remarks from Christopher Smyser, MD, MSCI, director of the Division of Pediatric and Developmental Neurology at WashU Medicine; and Dorian Traube, PhD, dean of the Brown School
- Keynote talk by Katie A. McLaughlin, PhD, executive director of the Ballmer Institute for Children’s Behavioral Health, University of Oregon
- Five-minute talks followed by panel discussion featuring Caitlin Kelleher, PhD, a professor of computer science & engineering at McKelvey Engineering; Trish Kohl, PhD, MSW, a professor at the Brown School; Joan Luby, PhD, the Samuel and Mae S. Ludwig Professor of Psychiatry at WashU Medicine; Victoria May, the executive director of the WashU Institute for School Partnership.
