Applied economist Nishant Vats, PhD, is an assistant professor of finance. His research investigates demand-side dynamics across diverse contexts, such as farmers-entrepreneurs in India and Black and Hispanic communities in the U.S. He is also interested in examining the effect of financial hardships on mental and physical health.
