The WashU Public Health National Council plays a significant role in helping to shape and provide feedback on the school’s structure, programs and initiatives.

Alaina Maciá is the president and CEO of MTM, a St. Louis-based company dedicated to ensuring that community services including health care are accessible to all. Maciá is a WashU graduate and a member of the WashU Board of Trustees.

Andwele Jolly is the president and CEO of the St. Louis Integrated Health Network (IHN), a health care intermediary, building regional capacity across sectors to advance health equity and improve wellbeing, with an emphasis on historically excluded communities.

Anthony "Tony" Ryan leads and manages the investment firm Arrowstreet Capital. From 2006 to 2009, he served in the United States Treasury Department. He is a member of the WashU Board of Trustees.

A former Oracle Corp. executive, Carol Hamilton serves on the Student Affairs National Council and San Francisco Regional Cabinet, and founded the Bay Area Parent Engagement Committee. She previously chaired the Parents Council with her husband, John.

David Conner served as CEO and director of Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC Bank), Singapore’s second largest bank, from April 2002 to April 2012. A WashU graduate, he is an emeritus member of the WashU Board of Trustees.

Dolores J. Gunn is a family medicine doctor in East Saint Louis, Illinois. She served as a certified public health administrator and Director of Health for St. Louis County for more than 10 years.

Gene Kahn is the former CEO of Claire’s Stores, Inc., and the former chairman and CEO of the May Department Stores Company. An emeritus trustee of the WashU Board, Kahn has long championed public health at the university.

Gary Cohen is the co-founder of the technology company Humatics. He serves as a consulting attorney and strategic business advisor to companies at the intersection of the life sciences, digital health and technology.

John Stupp is the president of Stupp Bros., Inc., which provides materials for infrastructure, fabricates steel for buildings, and offers banking, data, and broadband services across the U.S. He is a trustee of the St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Joyce Buchheit is the owner of JCB Management LLC Incorporated. A WashU graduate and an honorary emeritus trustee of the WashU Board of Trustees, she has long championed efforts to expand educational opportunities at the university.

Maxine Clark is the founder of Build-A-Bear Workshop. Dedicated to civic service, Clark has served or currently serves on numerous boards, including those of WashU, Parents as Teachers, Operation Food Search and the Delmar DivINe.

Physician-entrepreneur Mitzi Krockover is passionate about advancing women’s health through innovation, investment and education. She is the founder and CEO of Woman Centered, LLC, a business development consultancy, investment and media organization focused on women’s health innovation.

Pooja Mittal is the chief health equity officer for Health Net. She leads the company in developing, implementing, and embedding health equity strategic initiatives. In addition, she practices as a family medicine physician at a federally qualified health center.

WashU graduate and public health physician Robert Harmon leads the Harmon Health Group. His 54-year career spans the private sector, academia, and the public sector, where he led large public health agencies at the federal, state and local levels

Robert Cannon serves as president of BJC HealthCare. In addition to overseeing five hospitals and Goldfarb School of Nursing, he is responsible for community health improvement, government relations and capital construction activities.
